Principal's Message
Kia ora Brooklyn Families,
What a brilliant swimming sports we had last week. Many thanks to the parents who came down to support our students as they showcased their respective skills in our wonderful pool. The effort was fantastic from all of our students with a large group being selected to represent us at this week’s Inter-school Swimming Sports taking place at the Motueka High School pool. You are very welcome to come down and support our team this Wednesday with races starting at 9.45 approx.
Our swimming season is set to conclude at the end of this first term so make the most of our pool over the coming weeks. We are very happy with the way this excellent asset has been looked after by our community over the Summer months, and we know that you all value this wonderful resource.
A big thanks also to those families who have joined up to our School App. This mode of communication is proving to be extremely useful for both the school and our families. Get on board today!
We would like to remind our families that safe hygiene practices are still very much encouraged at our school. There is certainly an increasing amount of sickness within our classes and we encourage our families to not send their children to school if they are unwell.
Our Brooklyn FOTS team welcome any parents who might like to pop down to their next meeting on the 22nd of this month taking place in the school hall. Joining this group is a great way to support our school and meet with other parents. See you there.
We wish our senior students an excellent day tomorrow exploring the Tonga Reserve as part of the brilliant EMR Programme. Happy snorkelling everyone!
Have a fantastic week everyone.

Pub Charity Grant
We would like to thank 'Pub Charity Ltd' for their donation that enables the purchase of 2 of these water play troughs. These are outside Room Hoiho and Room Kiwi. The children are having fun learning many skills during this play including maths, social, communication and motor skills.

Friends of The School (FoTS)
Lots of new faces around school, so let's have a wee informal gathering, Wednesday 22nd March, to meet other parents and chat about some fundraising ideas you may have to help our school. Afternoon tea will be provided for parents. Your children will be able to play on the playground/court area while parents chat.
